Having designed many food factory layouts, the best advice we can give you is to get several opinions.   Don't exclude your operatives in this process as they have to own and operate the business, so get them on board with the design as soon as possible.
A minor alteration or modification can save tens of thousands of pounds per annum in operative costs.
